Bateria Slaný CZ, s.r.o.
is a Czech company whose history has been closely linked to the production and sale of batteries and accumulators since 1919. At that time, a small "factory for electric cells and batteries" was founded in Slaný, which gradually grew into a recognized European manufacturer of batteries and other specialized power sources.
After privatization, Bateria Slaný CZ, s.r.o. continues its activities with a significant tradition and a name that itself is a symbol of the products the company brings to the market today. Pocket batteries, as well as accumulators and battery assemblies for consumer and industrial use, have one common denominator: a quality energy source for everyone.
All production takes place in facilities certified for the quality system according to ISO 9001:2001. Great emphasis is placed on compliance with all standards, especially on reducing the content of heavy metals.
We are acutely aware of the need to protect the environment in which we live, and therefore we are members of the associations listed below.
Czech Association of Manufacturers and Importers of Portable Batteries
Bateria Slaný CZ is one of the founding members of the Czech Association of Manufacturers and Importers of Portable Batteries, established in 1999 in accordance with the recommendations of the European Portable Battery Association (EPBA). It brings together all major manufacturers and importers of portable batteries in the Czech Republic. On December 13, 2001, a so-called Voluntary Agreement was signed between the Association and the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic. The main goal of this Agreement was to create conditions for the establishment of a comprehensive joint system for the collection of portable batteries. The Voluntary Agreement further complements binding legislative requirements with specific targets for battery collection and recycling.
ECOBAT
Bateria Slaný contributed to the establishment of the battery collection system and is a partner of ECOBAT s.r.o., which gradually creates a collection network across the Czech Republic where green boxes for used batteries are located.
This system handles the collection and processing of all electric accumulators and galvanic cells and batteries, regardless of the brand. Collected portable batteries are stored in a central warehouse in the Kladno district, initially manually sorted according to their electrochemical properties. Batteries containing mercury (Hg) and silver (Ag) are processed in recycling facilities in the Czech Republic, NiCd and NiMH accumulators are exported to foreign processing plants, and the remaining part is disposed of in accordance with Czech legislation. www.ecobat.cz
EKO-KOM
Bateria Slaný CZ has entered into a joint fulfillment agreement with EKO-KOM a.s., thereby fulfilling its obligation to ensure the collection and utilization of packaging waste according to Section 13(1)(c) of the Packaging Act.
RETELA
Act No. 542/2020 Coll. on Products with End-of-Life Sets a requirement for manufacturers and importers of electrical equipment to ensure the collection and separate disposal of used electrical and electronic equipment. Bateria Slaný fulfilled this legal obligation by entering into an agreement with RETELA s.r.o.
Solar Association
Bateria Slaný CZ is a proud member of the Solar Association, which brings together manufacturers and solution providers in the field of solar energy and supports the development of renewable energy sources in the Czech Republic.

Bateria Slaný CZ is also a member of Aku-Bat CZ, which focuses on supporting energy storage and innovation in battery technologies.
